Careprost Plus Eye Drop is a prescription eye medicine used to lower high pressure inside the eyes in adults with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. High eye pressure can damage the optic nerve, which is responsible for sending visual information from the eye to the brain. If left untreated, this damage may lead to permanent vision loss.
The eye naturally produces a clear fluid called aqueous humor. This fluid normally flows out of the eye through a drainage pathway. If the fluid does not drain properly, it can build up and increase the pressure inside the eye. Careprost Plus contains two active ingredients: Timolol Maleate 0.5% w/v and Bimatoprost 0.03% w/v. They work in different ways to help reduce the amount of fluid in the eye and lower eye pressure.
Use Careprost Plus only as prescribed by an ophthalmologist (eye specialist). It is generally intended for adults and should not be used in children or adolescents under 18 years unless specifically prescribed by a doctor.
